How much does tree work cost in Tulsa?
It depends on the tree. How big it is, how tall, and what sits under it, like a roof, a fence or a power line. The estimate is free and you get a firm price before we start, so you are never guessing. When we call you back, send us a few photos and we can give you a rough range right away.
Will my homeowners insurance pay for it?
If a storm drops a tree on your house, garage or fence, most policies cover the damage, and the Oklahoma Insurance Department says the cost of removing the tree is covered too. Every policy has its own limits, so call your insurer before you count on it. Take photos before anything gets moved and keep your receipts. If the tree came from your neighbor’s yard, your own policy still covers you. We are fully insured, and we help with the claim from start to finish. If you get stuck, the Oklahoma Insurance Department’s consumer line is 1-800-522-0071.
Do I have to drag the limbs to the curb?
No. Haul-away is in every price, and the limbs leave with us the same day. The City of Tulsa only takes bundles up to about 2 feet across and 5 feet long at the curb, 15 bags or bundles per pickup, and never under power lines. One good-sized tree is way more than that, so we take all of it with us.
My Bradford pear split. Do I trim it or take it out?
Bradford pears are weak trees. Oklahoma State’s extension service says ice and wind break them easily, which is why so many end up on power lines, and they are invasive here too. If yours split down the middle, trimming won’t fix it, and we will tell you that straight. If it is just a few broken limbs, we can clean it up. If it comes out, stump grinding is included, and we can plant something stronger in that spot, like a lacebark elm or a Chinese pistache, two trees Oklahoma growers recommend because they handle ice better.
Will your crew tear up my yard?
Not if we can help it. Our approach is to climb the tree instead of parking heavy equipment on your lawn, and we rope limbs down instead of dropping them on your beds and fence. If a job really needs a bucket truck, we tell you before any work starts. Then we clean up before we leave.
How fast can you come out after a storm?
We run a dedicated emergency team for storm calls, and we are usually there within 1 to 2 hours, including in towns like Sapulpa. If a tree is on your roof, fence or driveway, call us instead of filling out the form.
What areas do you serve?
Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby, Owasso, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Glenpool, Claremore, Coweta, Catoosa, Collinsville, Skiatook, Sperry, Verdigris, Mounds, Kiefer, Kellyville, Inola and Oologah, with no extra travel charge anywhere in that area. Close to one of these towns but not on the list? Call and ask.
Do you trim trees near power lines?
Yes, and we take on all of it. The line that runs from the pole to your house, and the lines along the street. PSO trims the street lines for free on its own schedule, but it won’t touch the line to your house, and that one is on you as the owner. Our crew includes people qualified for work near live lines, and we are insured for it. Please don’t try it yourself with a ladder or a pole saw.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. If a job needs a permit, we take care of it.
How can I pay?
We accept Zelle and Venmo.
